Never Too Late

This inspirational book by mental health care professional Kate Champion profiles and interviews seven athletes ranging in age from mid fifties to late eighties, including a long distance hiker, a climber, the oldest woman to swim the English channel, some ultramarathon runners, and the “iron nun”, Sister Madonna Buder, who has completed dozens of ironman-length triathlons. Several of these athletes did not become active until later in life, which is where the title never too late comes from. I had read Sister Buder’s biography The Grace to Race a few years back and now I’d like to reread it.

If I had any plans to cut back on my adventures because I’m now in my late 60s, these athletes would inspire me to reconsider.
