Labor Day weekend sales are about to crash down upon the country like a tsunami, even the landlocked parts. The difference is that, instead of dealing with flooding, you get to save money on stuff you’ve been waiting to buy until it goes on sale. REI’s Labor Day Sale is already live with over 9,000 items like e-bikes, hiking boots, apparel, and camping gear seeing markdowns of up to 80%.

For those who haven’t been targeting anything specific, a sale of this size can be overwhelming. That’s why Men’s Journal took the time to scope through the REI Labor Day sale to find the deals that are of a truly valuable discount, useful to many on a regular basis, and could be a worthy replacement or upgrade for existing gear.

REI Labor Day Sale 2023 Dates

This year, the REI Labor Day Sale came earlier than most, starting today, August 25. The sale lasts for over a week, extending through September 4, which is Labor Day, until 11:59 p.m. We expect popular picks to sell out before that, though.

REI Labor Day Sale Member Coupon

The REI membership is one of the most fruitful of all big-box retailers’ programs. Not only does the REI offer 10% back annually on all eligible purchases (it adds up), no-minimum free shipping, and 20% off many bike and snow services, but they also have bonus discounts during sale events throughout the year, including the Labor Day Sale.

During the sale, REI members can receive an additional 20% off REI Outlet items until September 4 with the code “LABORDAY23.” Some exclusions apply, but there are still over 3,000 coupon-eligible items to shop.
