Car Crashes Through Second Floor of Pennsylvania Home

In a scene that looked like something straight out of the Fast and Furious movies, a car launched and crashed into a second-floor bedroom of a Pennsylvania home this week. And the strangest part? Authorities say the crash was an "intentional act."

The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday in Decatur Township, Mifflin County, about 65 miles northwest of Harrisburg, the state's capitol. Junction Fire Company, which was dispatched to the scene shortly after the accident, told ABC 27 News that the vehicle hit a small culvert next to the driveway of the home, causing it to become airborne and hit the second story of the house.

In wild photos taken at the scene, posted to Facebook by the fire department, the Toyota Corolla can be seen dangling from the second floor. Rescue crews were eventually able to remove the vehicle and stabilize the home, helping the residents put tarps over the hole to protect it from strong storms moving through the area.

Miraculously, no one inside the home was injured and the driver was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

Adding to the incredibility of the story, Pennsylvania State Police troopers have said that it was "determined through an investigation that the crash was an intentional act and charges are pending at this time." However, a motive is currently unclear.

Good Day Philadelphia reporter Steve Keeley wasn't having that explanation, however, when discussing the accident on Tuesday morning's broadcast.

"I mean, intentional act sounds like, 'I'm gonna land my car on your house,'" he puzzled. "I think it was an accident—the were going too fast, they hit a ditch and it launched the car."

An investigation into the crash is currently underway, as there clearly must be more to the story.
