This Airline Is Offering 35% Off Flights to Europe All Week

If you're looking to get away to Europe later this year on a budget, perk up.

Low-cost Icelandic carrier PLAY is kicking off a Memorial Day Weekend flash sale today, offering 35 percent off its normal fares for flights booked between now and Sunday, May 29. While the flights won't help you with the busy summer travel season, they're good for the fall and early winter.

On the European side, you can find flights to Iceland, Paris, London, Dublin, Amsterdam, and Glasgow. Flights to the first four destinations can be booked from September 1 to December 15, 2023, while Amsterdam and Glasgow cut off on October 31.

From the U.S., PLAY flies out of several northeast airports, including Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, Logan International Airport in Boston, Stewart International Airport in New York, and Dulles International Airport in Washington D.C.

There's no other fine print or blackout dates for the sale, just make sure to use the code PLAYMEMDAY at checkout.

The airline itself has a unique structure allowing it to offer low-cost flights. All flights connect through Reykjavík, Iceland, meaning they aren't direct from U.S. airports. Much like low-cost carriers in the states, you'll be charged for add-ons like carry-on and checked baggage, so make sure to read the rules on your ticket tier. Add-on prices will be cheapest at checkout.

If you're willing to navigate some red tape, however, there are fantastic deals to be had. A scan of potential routes with the discount saw round-trip fares between the U.S. and Europe for well under $300.

Head over to PLAY's website to check out the sale now.
