The Colorado mountain town distiller is proclaiming National Après Day for March 31, a chance for people everywhere, celebrating everything to enjoy ““après ski,” even if they haven’t spent the day on the mountain.
Breckenridge Distillery—located in the Colorado mountain town of the same name—is known as the “world’s highest distiller.” After a long day in the mountains, locals know there's nothing better than après ski. It’s a chance to connect with friends and enjoy a drink, preferably one of Breckenridge’s award-winning bourbons made with Rocky Mountain water.
Now, the distillery has set out to share the cultural joy of après ski by dropping the “ski” and declaring an inaugural National Après Day on March 31. It’s an opportunity for people to celebrate everything, “whether it’s an epic day of skiing in Breckenridge, surfing in San Diego or crushing a business pitch in downtown Chicago.”
It’s all part of a campaign coined #AprèsAnywhere, “which inspires consumers to celebrate anywhere and after anything they accomplish.”

For Jessie Unruh, director of marketing at the distillery, Breckenridge and National Après Day were a natural connection: “Bourbon brings people together, and that’s why we love what we do at Breckenridge Distillery. This campaign is the epitome of what we’re all about. We love celebrating the rad things our fans do, from the backcountry to the big city, and we hope this spreads the après ski spirit across the country for more memorable moments with [Breckenridge] bourbon.”
